I loved my thristies covers. They were amongst the best ever, and the pul is so soft compared to other brands of covers.

I liked my snappiable fitteds more than prefolds, but prefolds will do the job and are quite easy to get the hang of. I still have all my prefolds for no reason LOL

The snappiable fitteds I had were given to me by a member off here when we were friends - she made them using the very baby pattern, but put terry on the inside/outside and sandwiched flannel and other materials inside. They snappied PERFECTLY and were AWESOME to use.

At night I used very baby OSFM fitteds with a cover, as my little one didn't poo at night.

I also love the thirsties covers.

I used bamboo prefolds on both of my boys. I made them from Terry so they were snappiable. The ones I used for DS2 I finished just hours before he was born (although I had no idea at the time) I get gooey just thinking about it.

Definitely get some Ishfly prefolds. But make sure you get the Large size, not the Small. And keep them as boosters for later. They fit really well inside a BBH fitted. I haven't used the Duo Wraps, but I love the size Small Thirsties covers. They work really well with the prefolds. You can pick up Ishfly prefolds pretty cheap 2nd hand. I managed to get them for $3 each and in excellent condition.

Yep, just fold down the front. Works really well. You'll get much more wear out if them. :-)

thanks for that, do you need more covers with prefolds because they dont have the elastic legs to contain the contents?

If you put them on snug they generally don't leak. It'll depend on if you have a boy/girl and what kind of fold you are doing. I had about 5 covers for newborn/small and washed every second day or so. I'd swap the covers every change, hanging up the one just used to air out.
