I'm getting ready to TT DD1. I'm not sure if she is ready or not, but I am encouraging her to use the potty and trying to make it fun.

At the moment she is wearing sposies and refuses to wear her cloth nappies. :( What I'm unsure about is if I should get some training pants or just get undies. And how many pairs should I be getting?

I was thinking about getting some GF Bamboo Velour training pants. Should I just get a couple of pairs and see how she likes them before getting more?

My DS went straight to jockies, one day he just said that he needed to do a wee and went on the toilet, and from that day on he's been in jockies

I never had success with knickers straight up. My girls decided they were too big for nappies around 2/2.5 but not ready to TT (no matter what I did) so I had to use training pants and just wait and wait and wait until they were efficient enough (3 & 3.5) to recognise they needed to go and go themselves. DD1 never told me she needed to go, DD2 has just started to tell me and takes herself at 3.5.

Could you maybe buy some dymples training pants (from big w) or terry towelling ones from best and less and see how she goes??

Training pants can get expensive, especially if your LO one doesn't take to them, I couldn't use the cheap ones from the shops cause my kids were too big. I had the GF bamboo ones (not the velour) and they've served us well, not waterproof though.

Ive been making some for my boy atm as he is not wanting to lie down for changes but still isnt quite ready for TT.

It really depends on the child and what age/stage they are at.

I rite alot betta then what i used to did.

We didn't bother with training pants, just went bare bummed at home, and wore nappies out (for the first week). But my DD1 toilet trained herself, so I can't really take the credit for it.

we did undies.... first 2 times we tried - DD said she wanted to wear undies - resulted in lots of accidents and her getting distressed for making messes - and she elected to go back to nappies - then one day she said she wanted undies, of course this was on the day we had to go out! But we went to the shops - no accidents and rarely an accident since.

We do undies. Some days I use a lot of towels, some days they stay in the cupboard. She rarely misses when we are out unless I don't hear her ask.
