They are still selling them they just have an obligation to issue a warning not to place them on tables, couches etc where the child could arch their back and fall, potentially causing serious head injuries.

I got one a week or so ago and it just had the warning enclosed. I'm being very careful and only putting him in it on the ground.

Lily - they are a great seat, but like anything you need to supervise your child. Even high chairs where you strap the child in can be escaped from :) I use ours on the seat at the table instead of a high chair for my daughter but always make sure I am with her - especially as she can get herself out of it quite easily :)

Hi, I'm Norm, brought to you by my high horse, Ned.

Yep - They are just putting new labels on them. I've used one with DD. Her thunder thigh's stopped her from using it at around 6 months though lol.

Also that is a US recall....they have not been recalled here. they have only caused injuries when toddlers have lurched backwards out of them off tabletops etc....the label on the bumbo clearly says only to be used on the floor and never leave unsupervised in one....if more people followed the labels and used their commonsense these sorts of acidents wouldn't happen in the first place
