Okay so we dont really have much choice atm.. B has had a horrible horrible rash for a loooong time we have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it...
multitudes of creams diffrent liners raw silk liners changing her every hour strip washing her nappies
took her in to the health nurse and she said to take her to the doc it is infected
so now we have cream that stains everything it touches and the doctor recommended maybe using disposables while we use it as she needs to be kept as dry as possible
anyway end of the story is DP says enough we are going to get disposables till the cream has a chance to sort this rash out
i HATE sposies i DO NOT want to buy them..
But given i have no choice anymore what should i buy?
whats the lesser of the evils?
btw please dont give me shit about this i hate it enough as it is thanks!!

Woolies select nappies. Most people would say huggies but they always leaked.

currently using Aldi nappies here as she is on panadol/nurofen/anti-b's for a throat infection. Plus we also use night nappies so they are working ok for that too. Usually we use Huggies though. Used to be BabyLove till I worked out that they were causing her horrible nappy rash that she was getting :(

Hope you can sort out her rash quickly. Poor lil chicken, it is horrible to see them in pain from it.

If it's cause of the bin factor etc then u can get biodegradable sposies.

My preferred brands r Aldi, Baby love o huggies. Not big w brand or snugglers though DS got THE worst happy rash with big w and not as bad but still bad rash with snugglers

aldi and babylove here. Aldi only for days though but BL can last the night.

I think she just need lots of airing time (pity its winter) But im pretty sure you would've tried that too...I think dragon had a problem with tomatoes at one stage that was causing him to get really bad rash

evil: chemical-wise, i think they should all be about the same.

I use huggies, because the others seem to always leak and give my children a rash. Every child is different and like cloth nappies certain brands work well for one child and may not the next. For my children when they sleep all night, the huggies last, where as all the other brands I've tried leak.

We used some called Moltex - they were really good I found, and nicer on the environment too...

I know the kind of rash your describing, its so sad isn't it. DD got it, so I just stopped putting her in nappies altogether, spent a week at home with her as she couldn't wear them anyway, and thats how we ended up toilet training, because the rash was too bad to wear a nappy!

Good luck hun I hope poor B gets some relief soon!

we've used baby love, coles, woolworths select, woolworths home brand, aldi and comfy bots (this is what we're currently using at night) all with no problem. Huggies only ever worked when they were newborns.

Woolies Homebrand ones are awesome, we haven't had a single leak from them. We use them overnight for two kids and one of them is a heavy wetter.

I think they are called softies. We get them from the local IGA. They are biodegradable. Work a treat and I don't feel so bad when we use them.

we are using sposies overnight at the moment for a number of reasons and the first time I had to buy them it broke my heart, it just felt all wrong to me but anyway - we use Aldi or woolies homebrand and both are fine overnight for us :)

I've gotten leaks from huggies, but like the fit.
Aldi nappies - never had a leak, but the fit isn't as good as huggies. Good price.
Comfy Bots - just trying these now as DS is in sposies, had 2 leaks overnight already - they don't seem to be able to "hold" as much as the above two. Good price.

Baby Love - yuck, hate them
Coles home brand - not too bad, but i wouldn't trust them overnight

Never tried woolies home brand, but they seem to have pretty good reviews so might try them next.

one thing that I always found with Huggies was if they were leaking, to go up to the next size. That seemed to stop any of the leakages.

I'm using sposies overnight at the moment and we have the comfybots. Theyre leaking every morning! Personally, I prefer huggies. I also found aldi to be good.

Are you using disposable wipes or fabric?

we use huggies at night and have been having overflow leaks as DD is a tummy sleeper.
Do you think it would help if we went up a size? she is 11 kg and in the toddler size, do you reckon I should go up to the walkers?
I have an unopened box here I am wondering if I should go in and exchange it.

just goes to show everyone it comes down to each individual child! Huggies leak on the boys everythine, especially ds1 but both of them can go overnight in comfy bots (including ds2 having a bottle some nights) with no leaks!

Lol! I know! You would think picking a disposable nappy would be easy.... But, no!! DS (6 months!!!) is even wearing the toddler size and still outpeeing them! And, they're not leaking around the legs or anything, they're overflowing!!

I try to use the biodegradable ones from Woollies but they're $20 for 36 so if I'm having a broke day and really need them I've bought Aldi ones. They work for us and they're about $14 for 48.
I'm using them at the moment because all of DD's nappies are leaking so I'm trying to combat that while not going crazy. I think she might be too big for them but I'm giving them one more try before I switch her to disposables full time until she TT.

I havent used many diff brands, when nb found babylove lasted better than huggies as they leaked (cuz full not out legs etc) after 1hr, found at about 4mths old that huggies caused a rash that babylove didnt & then didnt use any til 12mths, & used some huggies when ds was in hospital & they didnt cause a rash. I havent used any since then & started using some at night the last few wks cuz ds has 470ml formula overnight via ngt & it was making his cloth night nappies just too wet & heavy. They still leak so I use a booster and a pul cover over the top of them. Not sure if that helps at all...

The lady said to keep the receipt and i could take them back when i said thati i hoped they were ok when i bought them but i doubt they will refund a part used box just because my boy out wees them.

Well I decided to exchange our unopened box of huggies toddler for the huggies walker's today. So DD has one on tonight. Will see how we go!
I feel a bit ripped off though as there are less nappies in the box of the larger size. Oh well.

We have used babylove, huggies and snugglers and DS has been fine with all.... oh except with his runny poo when he was little, babyloves would overflow.

We use snugglers at night and they last fine, and he is a tummy sleeper

My first choice is huggies but I will only buy them when they are on special, otherwise we get snugglers but I don't really like the fit.

I hated pampers and babylove, thats all I've tried.

Well the larger size huggies didn't leak overnight I'm happy to say :)

I do like the coles own brand ones with the may gibbs characters on them ;)
might have something to do with the characters, I don't like the wiggles on the babylove or the pooh characters on the huggies TBH. So much advertising to young children!
Unfortunately it is a PITA to go to Coles.
