Morning Ladies,

As you'd probably noticed were doing some ad testing (they aren't real Google ads just mock ones for testing (as they are the correct size) and I'm curious as to the half dozen people who clicked on the fake Jag ad ;))

A couple of things.

The ads will be up everywhere ads MIGHT be going (this doesn't mean there will be ads there after testing just that there could).

These will be slots for WAHM/Small business ads. The google ads will only be used to fill in unsold gaps (mixed up with advertising the slots themselves). The system will be ENTIRELY self serve through the NA Store. The only part I'll play in the process is approval of the ads before they run to stop spam and inappropriate ads etc.

Each of the ads has a name on it that relates to a position. If you might be interested in advertising at some point if you want your ad in particular spot make a note of the position name. Once the testing is over the ad packages will appear in the NA Store and be available for purchase by anyone.

If you have any objections to any particular positions please let me know (make sure to be careful when you make note of the name on it because some of the names are very similar).

The fake ads will be up for a day or so to just to get some figures on how often each of them are displayed during a regular day for pricing purposes.

There will be some more information coming once testing is finished in the mean time if you have any questions PM me.

Dan.

I clicked on the Jag ad  .. Firstly 'cos I've always wanted a jag (duh! It's my initials!) but also to figure out why, on a parenting forum full of mini van, SUV and other 'soccer mom' car drivers, why Jaguar would bother advertising! ;)

I clicked on "latest Classified" as was intrigued ;> to see what it contained ;) and positioning was eyecatching to me. Certainly grabbed my attention. Probably as I like reading updates and naturally tend to look to the right of screen on Forum homepage.
PS I think $45 for express post is a bit steep!!

I didnt like the ones in the middle of the thread.... (first post .. ad... more posts)....if I didn't scroll down enough I didn't see that there was more posts and just closed it.

Wouldn't of had a clue they fake ads though I didn't even look at them lol.

Ditto, those ones are annoying, the rest I just ignored.
