As some of you might have noticed there's a little bit of construction and re-organisation going on in the forums.

Some new sections will be opening up and some old sections will be closing and there will be finetuning all around.

So please pop into the front page from time to time and have a look and see what new sections we have.

Also when posting new threads can you please be sure to look at teh front page and try to find the most appropriate section.

Aside from Addict Chat (which is for "off-topic" (basically non nappy/parenting related) stuff) there won't really be anymore "general chat" areas. sections will be a little more specific.

This is for a bunch of reasons and is targeted more at the newcomers and those looking for advice, information and help rather than the long time regulars, most of you read the boards via the New Posts page so aside from starting new threads any layout changes matter little. The "general chat" threads with all different topics lumped in together tend to get too long and hard to find what you're looking for so I've tried to separate things (especially cloth chat) into appropriate sections. This is something that will be ongoing and new sections may added and old ones removed depending on how they are used.

Sounds like a good idea. Have you thought about a newborn nappying section? Its an area people are often looking for advice on and has its own specific info.

You're likely already aware of it but thought I'd point out you have a "Cloth" and a "Cloth2" section. ;)

Cloth1 actually.

Cloth2 is for next week ;)

Cloth1 will be going away soon. It'll go read only and I'll move some of the more recent threads out into the appropriate sections. Then it will probably go into archive mode and just remain read only. But it'll be renamed to reflect that.

It's just part of the move away from massive general sections to slightly more specific smaller sections.

Yeah it doesn't work on the New posts.. Fucking stupid idea if you ask me. Plenty of people on the forums for this software have bitched about it too. it's supposed to be integrated into the next version and be a bit slicker and quicker. and hopefully they'll make it work everywhere. In the meantime I'll keep an eye out to find out if there is a way to get it to work on the New Posts page.
