I have been thinking of creating a Facebook page, for the lovers of knitting and crocheting.

Somewhere people can get knitting help, discuss techniques, show off their creations, provide links to WAHM's who sell yarn, knitted goods & other associated paraphernalia. We could also use it for news on upcoming stockings or get opinions on patterns and yarns.

I know that there's Rav, but some people find it daunting, or not very user friendly. It sure is awesome for patterns though.

I'd probably join but not end up using it. To be honest I spend most of my time on Rav and we already do all of the above you mentioned right there, and I do enough FB as it is

have you tried the Aussie MCN wahm Showcase- also MCN mummies for the chat side, you may be looking in the wrong place?

no worries - I simply spend too much time on FB already LOL. Rav is like my hideaway where I don't have to work!
