??? what the?? should it be a cause for consern?

Alex was just sent home early from day care with a temp of 39.4
On the weekend she had a temp of 40.3 and vomitted once, then seemed fine.
About 2 weeks ago she had temps, snotty nose etc and was put on broad spectrim antibiotics just as precaution (when alex gets sick, it happens fast and seriously).

so what the hell?? is there something im missing?? panadol/neurofen and tepid baths work, but after this long, should i get her looked at?? I guess it comes down to gut feeling, and im talking myself out of drs lol, i HATE going to dr's.

hmmmm *thinking cap icon*

there is a virus going around we have had it we just got lots of headaches (so bad i have vomited), high temps, fatigue and runny nose, im up to my 3rd week now and just have the headache left.

if you are worried get her checked as you know already antibiotics wont help a virus ;)

hmmm yes virus... probably is, doing the rounds. seems every time she goes to daycare she gets something. im betting it is the virus, as she had a slightrash on her cheeks last week. ab's deffiantly wont rid a virus. :) solution found, no dr :D

probably viral if its was bacterial infections she wouldnt get better they just contiune to get worse, If they are really unsure testing the blood can help as they can get a look at the CRP and blood levels etc and run a sepsis screen, but if she is getting better I wouldnt wory to much
