Is it a syrup? Can you try and sneak it in while she's asleep?

I often do that for Simon, I go in with the lights off and pop the syringe in his mouth and slowly squirt it in, usually he stirs a little but the goes back to sleep, he also has a tablet that breaks down really easy, so while he's still drowsy, I give him the tablet, sometimes crushed in a syringe and a glass of water and he takes it and goes back to sleep.

HTH

Nah they don't choke on their saliva, they just swallow that, so it pretty much the same process, I do it slow, and he does rouse a little, I think cause it tastes revolting, but I give him a drink, and a pat and a cuddle and he goes back to sleep :)

I'm glad she woke, so there's no worries tonight. I think Epilim is one of those that's best given at the same time of day but if it varied by 1-2 hours, I think you would probably be fine :) We adjust meds by 1-2 hours at work all the time, including Chemotherapy. But its best to ask your Dr, make sure you remember when you gave it before she has blood levels done, cause that can make a difference sometimes.

I'm not sure on levels, what ever your Dr thinks is right. 6months sounds good as long as its controlling the seizures, if its not ring her ;)

There is an advantage to having to take medicine twice a day every day since he was six weeks, he's now 3 :( WooHoo something that's positive about it!!!!

Oh sorry, Simon's medicines are for his reflux, sorry if I confused you. Although he's on double the adult dose of one medicine and more than the usually suggested dose of another. Its finally working and he's a happy little boy :) which is nice :D

HUGS I really feel for parents whos kids are on meds for epilepsy and dont have feeding tubes, As with DDs we just tube it, I would wake her the reason beng is that eplim has a theraputic range and out side of the it wont work, So if she is newly on it you need to be really regmented with it to get her blood levels up to theraputic dose and then once she is at theraputic levels you need to keep them up.

Can I ask why her dose s done at 5, that seems like a hard tme to do it as 5pm at night means the net dose is due at 5am, so early to get up and early to go to bed, If you are going to change times do it over a long period by delaying 10 minutes each day as apose to just doing one late KWIM.
