DD has been unsettled over the last few nights, waking up and saying her bum or her vagina hurts. There's been no redness or soreness in the area, no fever, no signs or symptoms during the day, so I'm thinking it may be worms? Tonight has been really bad for her, but DH is at work so I can't try and hunt down a day and night pharmacy.
Long story short, is there anything I can give her or do for her in the meantime to relieve the itching of worms tonight???
Worms?

She's only 2.5 so bum and vagina are pretty much the same to her lol. Initially I though uti but there has been no problem during the day at all, just at night time.
I will put some cream on her bum the next time she wakes up, thanks for the suggestion

mm so she uses the tiolet as my girls sometimes complain at night ewhen they have stopped playing ect as they notice it more lol and its due to the fact they dont wipe properly in that area so ive had to get those flushable tiolet wipes so they actually wipe
anyway the worm treatment wont hurt

Is she a heavy sleeper? You can check to be sure.. Maybe let her sleep with no pants on, just undies or nappy, and once she's asleep and been asleep half an hour or so, go take her undies/nappy off and look - they actually come out at night and you can see them
Little white worms.. yuck - I've checked on my niece once before and sure enough, that's what it was..
Otherwise, it could be a UTI or not wiping enough - my girls sometimes complain after they've not wiped quite right all day.. I tend to put cornstarch/powder on them 2-3 times a day to try and help..

Yep, if you suspect worms shine a torch on her bum and the worms should come out...

Sounds bizarre but i actually had treated my kids one time but they kept crying because their bottom was really hurting even though i had treated the worms themselves. I spoke to the pharmacist and he said that even though they had been treated the worms lay eggs on the anus which is what causes the soreness. He said heameroid cream is the best thing as it relieves the actual pain
It seriously worked!
