Anyone have any experience with thick walled cystic lesions in their children's thighs? Not causing any pain & doesn't have any appearance externally. No known trauma or bites to the area & not near where immunisation needles where 6 months ago.
Ultrasound done but they still don't know what it is & are suggesting a sample of the fluid inside be taken. Seeing a Pead first though for a 2nd opinion before they cause any additional stress to my DD by having to put her under for the FNA. Can't see the pead until May 18th though so I thought I'd try my luck on here in the mean time.

If you do a search through health chat here I'm pretty sure someone else had this a few months ago (or it could be BH, I can't remember) - hopefully they'll pop up. I have been told that lumps can be fairly normal in Sahara's age, but obviously if the doctor wants to get it checked then I would listen to the doctor. I can't imagine how much you're stressing though (as I would be) and not having your DH there would be hard - if you want me and the kids to come and pick you up and then he can get you from here when they finish on Friday let me know, more than happy too. xx
Hi, I'm Norm, brought to you by my high horse, Ned.

Thanks Kris, I should be ok. The Pead is getting a copy of the ultrasound report sent to him ASAP so he can decide whether or not he needs to see us sooner than next month.
I'm just really upset that last Tues I was told that it wasn't anything nasty & the dr just wanted to go over the report with me in personal then to show up this morning to be hit with this from the dr "it's more complex than I thought it would be, it has fluid & other structures so isn't a straight forward csytic lesion". Not to mention the fact that I didn't absorb much of what either drs told me today because I was in shock that it just wasn't a case of "it's such & such, nothing to worry about & we'll just keep an eye on it as she grows". Now I'm reading & reading the report thinking what the hell does all this mean.

Nae, do you wanna send me the report and I can have a look at it from a medical POV? Sweetheart it might be nothing, try (and I know it's bloody hard) to think positively.
Don't Google it - google is NOT your friend in situations like this. You'll probably turn up something like a cancer, or a tumour or something insanely scary. Let the doctors do the diagnosing and you just take care of your adorable little one.
Will PM you on FB as well - thinking of you sweets xoxo
