So Sunday afternoon I start getting these really sharp, shocking pains in my upper abdominal region (basically just under the bustline)

I thought maybe I was just tired and figured they'd probably go away... I worked 10-0730 Sunday Night, and the pain didn't stop, it was coming and going all through my shift.

I went to the doctor yesterday morning (just the crap clinic doctor as my usual doctor was shut) who sent me home with Pariet, but the pain really doesn't feel like its in my stomach, its more of a cramp that goes right across the top of that area, from one side to the other,

and as stupid as it sounds, the best way I can describe it is like a contraction... but its only every now and then and only lasts about 30 seconds.

and I'm NOT pregnant so its definitely not labour! (hehe)

Anyone got any ideas? It hurts like hell and I've had enough. Took two nurofen plus last night which helped ease the pain but I want to know whats CAUSING it. Late last night I also started with diarrhoea (TMI sorry) but not shocking, just twice.

Doctor thought it could possibly be gallstones and recommended if it got to the point I really couldn't handle it to go to the A&E department.

Anyone experienced similar or have any ideas?

Its really weird and making me so annoyed - apart from this I feel completely fine! grrrr

Yeah, I know the hungry feeling you're talking about, its not that...

My period is due, but not 100% sure what day as I have a really irregular cycle... but its wayyyyy higher than period pain usually is?

I was going to say if you were bleeding could it be a possible miscarriege. Thats the only thing I have had that was contraction like.
I hope it goes away soon or you solve it :D
