Ds has a rash which popped up yesterday, which I think may just be a heat rash or may be linked to ?teething?. Its on his back, tummy, head, very little on his face and starting on his arms. He has been having high temps at night time which eased off with panadol and has stopped since the rash has shown up. It passes the glass test and it doesnt seem to be irritable to him.

Does it look like a heat rash? What are your thoughts?

TIA

I would say that is a post-viral rash :) Usually pops up after the bad part of the infection has past. Hence the temperatures have stopped and now he has a rash. If you are worried though i would go and see a GP. Hope it clears up soon. xx

It does look like heat rash but you don't normally get a temp with heat rash, Is it a raised rash?
Poor little mite it looks nasty.

I agree with mummyto2boys..... viral rashes are intense and usually go after the infection has gone.. :)

well I took the little fella to the doctor because the rash has spread down his legs, arms and onto his face. She said it is from a viral infection (ROSEOLA INFANTUM) but to keep an eye on him and if it gets worse take him to the doctor again.

Thanks ladies.

DS broke out in the same thing today - though at this stage it's only on his tummy, back and groin area :( I'm hoping his is just viral!
