Hello,
my 17m.o. DS has red, swollen hands, one hand is also peeling. They are bothering him but he is still using them fine. Any ideas what this could be?
Thanks!!

could it be that he burnt is hands, or has had a contact reaction from something he has touched?

i would get it checked out, esp if it is bothering him

Maybe see if he can soak his hands in some cool water- or hold onto a ice back to help relieve.

Maybe he has touched something that has caused an allergic reaction? Could it be dermatitis maybe? I know if i use the wrong washing up liquid i get red flaky hands. It can get quite itchy and sore, even crack. Hope your little man feels better soon. Might be best to see a Dr even to get some cream to relieve the discomfort.

Does he have asthma?

Or have you used any new creams etc - any chemicals laying about?(including bath products?)..

I'd get him checked out..
