I know a lady that uses cloth but when they go anywhere they use dispoables. Cloth is just for home. I thought it was a great idea untill i switched to cloth. I didnt see why i couldnt use cloth while out also (we havent stayed away anywhere else but home overnight i might add) So how often do you end up using sposies?

we still use sposies at night due to the fact that i still havn't found a night nap that suits us. Going overseas in a few weeks and will be using sposies on the plane trip - way easier for us. Rest of the time is cloth unless im not home and dh always puts ds in sposies

i use cloth unless alex is going to her dads, or in hospital. otherwise its cloth 99% of the time. unless i run out while out and need to use a sposie, or cant get enough dry in time for daycare. its good to have sposies on hand as back ups

Ive got half a pack here and since going cloth fulltime, have only used them once when DD had gastro a few months back.

When I was pregnant with DD, and planning on using cloth (terry squares, didnt know MCN existed!) I was planning on disposables when out, cloth at home. I ended up using sposies fulltime until I discovered MCN!

We use disposables if we are going away for more than a couple of days because I don't want to have to wash on holidays.

I still use them at night sometimes on DD so I can use good rash cream and if she's sick and doing nasties nappies.

I've heard of this too, mainly by people with a toddler who wears pants, not wanting a big bum. Or because they don't like the idea of carrying around dirty nappies.

We use sposies at night occasionally, or when away with no washing machine. Though I do keep a couple in the car incase we have a pooy day, or are out longer than expected (or stay somewhere spontaneously)

I use sposies at night time, but hoping that a good night nappy will fix that.
DS only has a very small stash as he's now in jocks at home through the day.

I also have to admit if i'm off to the shops and DS hasn't done his morning poo yet i'll put him in a sposie lol. depending on how long i'll be at the shops for.

that's really bad.

My aim is to be a non sposie buyer in the near future. providing i get my act together and have enough smalls/meds to keep new bubs going

I only have 3 night nappies - so if I miscalculate my washing or if it rains and they don't dry I have disposies here as a backup. I also use them if we are going away longer than a few days and I don't know what the washing and drying facilities are like.

Last time I used sposies was over a year ago when we went camping

I've got friends that will put their cloth bummed bubbas into sposies for going out, I don't see the point. the best part of having an ultra cute bum is showing it off :D

I have admitted defeat with night nappies and now use only sposies at night (big blisters and welts each time we use cloth at night, just not worth the recovery).. when DD2 goes to daycare because changing her at daycare into one of their disposables in the morning was taking too much time and making DH late.. and when MIL looks after the girls we have to send sposies..

Yep I use disposables overnight!! and not ashamed! why should we be lol!! It works best for us and my daughter who ends up with rashes if she's in cloth or disposables full time, so the alternating day cloth & night sposie works great for us!

Once we started cloth at full time, didn't use a disposable at all until we went to Rarotonga for a week. I didn't have any just laying around incase.
This time will not buy them at all.

We have used 3 since birth. All on the day he was born. I had brought a packet on newborns as a 'just in case' but didnt use them and couldnt face spending the money everytime he grew out of one size.

But I dont think you should feel bad for using sposies. Do whats best for bubs.

We use sposies overnight here for a variety of reasons. DD is a perfect sleeper at night, and I really don't want to mess with it trying to find a night nappy that works. Plus night nappies are expensive. I would prefer to spend 30 cents a night on a sposie. I lather her in sudocream at night too.

We occasionally use sposies when we are out, if we are going to be out all day and have used/will use them on holidays, usually in combination with cloth depending on washing facilities/how long we are staying somewhere.

Some days when we are dealing with teething poos, I wish I had never started using cloth, but that feeling doesn't last.

I've tried to go full time cloth, but DS just won't sleep properly at night in cloth. He is 10 months and I'm just on my third box of sposies.

i used sposies at night with DS and now ive sold off all his stash he still uses sposies at night woke up dry the past 2 mornings tho :D

i have a box of newborn & crawler huggies, which will come in handy because ill be going to Perth to have DD. and we are going to esperance..so theres 2,9 hour car trips and then the longer 16 hour trip home(over 2 days) so we will be using sposies then..but while im just going around perth she will be in her cloth with sposies as back up :)

I bought disposables for when we went on holidays early Jan. Once that ran out I went back to full time cloth. When I was on holidays I used disposables full-time and the place had a small bin and we had to empty it like 2 or 3 times during the day.

I haven't used them since K was 5 weeks old and my washing machine was fixed. Even used them at a 3 night trip to NSW. Will probably use them for our camping trip at Easter too.

I use cloth during the day (whether home or out - will admit to choosing one of the prettiest nappies for going out ;) ) and disposables at night. Haven't yet tried night nappies, and tbh not sure if I will. Although will use disposables when we go away next month.

I use cloth all the time. No matter if we go out, or away. We went away for over a week and I used cloth the whole time.

I don't see why you would use sposies if you have enough cloth nappies. There is almost always somewhere to wash nappies if you go away, and if you go camping you can always bring them home and wash.

i also use sposies at night & i hate it, as it means she's effectively only in cloth half the time. :( she's such a heavy wetter that we've never found a night nappy that works, plus she fusses the whole time & doesn't sleep as well in cloth. when we go out i do try to stick to cloth, i have a few pretties that i like to show off! :D

each to their own hun. I only bought disposables when I went away because it was my first holiday with ds and I wanted to relax and next time when we go to the same place next year I wont use disposables as I was very relaxed and doing a couple of loads of washing next time is no big deal but becuase this one was my first holiday I wanted to make sure there would be no dramas :D

Ditto^^ Amelia is still pretty much in full time sposies as she poos so often (oh heck there she blows again!) and P has been in both lately until life settles into the new kind of normal around here. Thankfully H has toilet trained over the last couple of weeks so it is cheaper. We still have two of the boys in sposies at night. L will only wear his beloved minkys to bed ;)

I use sposies when we go away and everytime I say never again, but I find it easier for us and I just like to relax and not worry about washing all the time. Perhaps our next longer holiday I will take cloth as we will be going to Mooloolaba (spelling) and staying in an apartment so there is the chance to wash without going on a hike to find a laundrematte.

We've been doing cloth during the day, Huggies at night. Purely because I've been slack and haven't gotten any night boosters. I'm putting my order in tonight so hopefully by next weekend, we'll be cloth bummed full time!

i had to buy sposies when we went away last weekend , coz mum didnt want me washing while we where away

when we go away i normally take cloth for day times and use sposies when away ........this is because mostly we stay away for between 3 to 5 nights and i just dont want to have to get night nappies dry ....amd also they take up more room , which space in suitcase is at a premium ;)

I'm a total cloth snob ;) I don't understand why people see it's such a big deal - it's so freaking easy they should all be doing it :P

I've been on several weekend trips, week-long trips, and 5 weeks overseas on holiday with cloth. Never had dramas. ;)

I use sposies at night on DS, but daytime is cloth. Very very occasionally I stuff up something and forget to wash and have to use a sposie or 2 during the day but I hate wasting them during the day so I'm pretty good with keeping on top of the washing :)

really must get some night naps though!
