When I was pregnant with DD, and planning on using cloth (terry squares, didnt know MCN existed!) I was planning on disposables when out, cloth at home. I ended up using sposies fulltime until I discovered MCN!

I still use them at night sometimes on DD so I can use good rash cream and if she's sick and doing nasties nappies.

We use sposies at night occasionally, or when away with no washing machine. Though I do keep a couple in the car incase we have a pooy day, or are out longer than expected (or stay somewhere spontaneously)

DS only has a very small stash as he's now in jocks at home through the day.
I also have to admit if i'm off to the shops and DS hasn't done his morning poo yet i'll put him in a sposie lol. depending on how long i'll be at the shops for.
that's really bad.
My aim is to be a non sposie buyer in the near future. providing i get my act together and have enough smalls/meds to keep new bubs going
Mum to 4, nearly wife to Mr Fee and maker of Top End Tush modern cloth nappies.
listed in order of priority

I've got friends that will put their cloth bummed bubbas into sposies for going out, I don't see the point. the best part of having an ultra cute bum is showing it off :D

But I dont think you should feel bad for using sposies. Do whats best for bubs.

We occasionally use sposies when we are out, if we are going to be out all day and have used/will use them on holidays, usually in combination with cloth depending on washing facilities/how long we are staying somewhere.
Some days when we are dealing with teething poos, I wish I had never started using cloth, but that feeling doesn't last.

i have a box of newborn & crawler huggies, which will come in handy because ill be going to Perth to have DD. and we are going to esperance..so theres 2,9 hour car trips and then the longer 16 hour trip home(over 2 days) so we will be using sposies then..but while im just going around perth she will be in her cloth with sposies as back up :)

I don't see why you would use sposies if you have enough cloth nappies. There is almost always somewhere to wash nappies if you go away, and if you go camping you can always bring them home and wash.

each to their own hun. I only bought disposables when I went away because it was my first holiday with ds and I wanted to relax and next time when we go to the same place next year I wont use disposables as I was very relaxed and doing a couple of loads of washing next time is no big deal but becuase this one was my first holiday I wanted to make sure there would be no dramas :D

Ditto^^ Amelia is still pretty much in full time sposies as she poos so often (oh heck there she blows again!) and P has been in both lately until life settles into the new kind of normal around here. Thankfully H has toilet trained over the last couple of weeks so it is cheaper. We still have two of the boys in sposies at night. L will only wear his beloved minkys to bed ;)

when we go away i normally take cloth for day times and use sposies when away ........this is because mostly we stay away for between 3 to 5 nights and i just dont want to have to get night nappies dry ....amd also they take up more room , which space in suitcase is at a premium ;)

I'm a total cloth snob ;) I don't understand why people see it's such a big deal - it's so freaking easy they should all be doing it :P
I've been on several weekend trips, week-long trips, and 5 weeks overseas on holiday with cloth. Never had dramas. ;)
