We do cloth full time, but on the odd occasion, due to miscalculations in drying/washing, we use a sposie over night (maybe 2-3 a month).

We are down to the last couple from the box of huggies I had when we changed to cloth when he was 3 months old.

So I'm wanting to pick up a box to pop in the cupboard, but I now despise the ethics of huggies, so want something different :p

Recommendations?? He gets through the night with a huggies fine. GF super super trim night nap and issy bear get through the night... just... lol

I only have 2 night nappies so use sposies too. I use to use Huggies but was a tight ass when I last went and bought sposies and got the babylove! They are shit! Dont last the night here and Will isn't a big wetter. They dont feel anywhere near as secure as Huggies and the tabs are crappy.

i have afew friends that swear by aldi nappies, and afew that like baby love. i ve only just started using cloth in the past 2 weeks and my DD is almost 12months. we always used huggies before, tryed afew others but found they were nowhere near as good for us, fit or absorbency wise. DD still wears huggies to bed at night (still not sure of what cloth or anything is good for night yet) hope all that helps :)

Huggies for ds or Aldi brand mammia.

My dd was a MEGA wee-er and the only nappy she wouldn't wet through were Aldi brand. The price is really good too ;)

I have real issues with my ds in night nappies so really have no choice to use disposables :(

I use Nature's Child, I think they are called, the biodegradable ones made in Sweden, not that I hold that against them. I like them, they work for DS and I feel better about him wearing a disposable at night because they aren't going to sit in landfill for x number of years, but break down and disappear.

I've just finished my second box of sposies for DS2 - we have always had sposies at night....tried cloth a while back and had night waking so went back to sposies. Anyways - we use Babylove and DS must be a VERY light wetter, at least at night (now he's not having a midnight milkshake :D ) - they are barely wet in the morning. I've always found BL pretty reliable.

Having said that, I used the last sposie last night and we are back in cloth tonight.....wish me luck - I need sleep! :(

Aldi - we used them for Master 5 when he was younger and now use their pull up bedtime pants for him and they're better than all the others (and R seriously wets through just about anything!).

Do you have aldi there? If not I can grab you some and post them down.

Hi, I'm Norm, brought to you by my high horse, Ned.

i used sposies for DS1, i would use Aldi mostly but if ever there was a super special in babyloves i got those. When he was older the woolies select brand were good too
i'd get a pack of Aldi, packet is about $16, maybe 40 nappies or so???? been awhile. at least you don't have to fork out for a whole box

i was a 'huggies only' fan but now that DS is basically night trained and i only put a nappy on 'incase' i use woolies select - no point paying 50c per nappy for it to be dry and have to throw it out. I only ever used Huggies when he did wet at night, wasn't game enough to try anything else LOL

Huggies at night

Nothing else ever stood up to the challenge with DD1

DD2 is no where near as heavy wetter as her sister but I prefer to use huggies or you'll love coles.. always had problems with babylove, woolies select and snugglers were only ever ok for days

I usually use cloth until DD2 breaks out in blisters then it's back to sposies :( Dunno why it happens but it does *sigh*

thanks girls,

nom, we have an aldi down here, i was using theirs during the day when he was younger and had no problems, just went huggies overnight, well, cause you get brainwashed by them i suppose!

I always size the next size up in sposies for overnight, I'll pick up a pack of theirs as backups :)

Thanks girls!

We use comfy bots (i buy them in coles) for our two, Jack is either a big wetter or a dry nighter bub, and they hold up well on the nights he really lets it flow.

We use huggies nappy pants here. They are the only one that will make it through the night! And believe me, we tried every other brand!! I used to email companies to ask for samples as I was sick of buying a whole pack for them not to work! My boy is a SUPER heavy wetter at night!

I must admit though.. I do like them. It's soooo much easier to get a nappy on a wriggling toddler when you can do it while they are standing up. Not cheap, but I figure we only use them at night, so it works out ok.

I usually use Huggies when I miscalculate my washing (like tonight), but I have Baby Love on hand here atm - left over from a holiday, but they don't last. They end up halfway down her bum and last week she had wet sheets by midnight. I will have to get some Huggies for backups.

.....IMO huggies just arnt worth the money and they are sized so small you always have to go up a size (ie less nappies in pack) to get a decent fit. I tried one of my 4mo at the SIL lasts week and he fits into their TODDLER size 10-15kg:eek: - granted he is a chubba bubba but seriously even for the box that retails at $40 thats like $40 for 60 nappies!!! Ridiculous!

Anywho... we have always loved BL at nigth for DS1 - DS2 is in cloth. DS1 used to wet through BL but he doesnt know...weird though cause now he has big toddler wee. But yeh thats what ive found.

Have tried ALDI but they gave huge rash (pity as they are the cheapest)

I found woolies select was only 2 or 3c/nappy cheaper than BL so i stuck with BL instead.

we mainly use Aldi, but if Babylove are on special then we get those as they fit the big boy better if his night mcn's aren't dry (why must they take AGES to dry??).

We use Pampers on the Lil Miss as they are the smallest sposies we have found that are easily accessible and don't cost the earth to buy.

We used to use huggies but then I bought 2 extra night nappies (2nd hand) cheaper each than a box sposies so now we never run out :).
When I had custody of my nephew many years ago I used snugglers on him.

I have pretty much used every nappy avail. LOL I don't like the new style of huggies, and haven't bought them since Z was born..too exy

I switched to cloth full time after Snugglers went up in price, Aldi are a great nappy esp for heavy wetters! Woolies select is good too but had some dramas with tabs coming off when trying to put the nappy on.

One I was quite surprised with is Woolies Home brand...borrowed some off a mate and they are as good as Aldi I reckon!! Didn't like coles brand felt like i wrapped the kids in cling wrap and cellophane LOL

Can't use babylove in this house the kids are allergic to something in that brand. But I did find The Nappy Queen here on the coast and they are a good night nappy, holds a lot of wee!!

Our 3.5 year old is in woolworths select at night time. They always seem to be on a price rollback or special so it works out quite cheap.

I'm admitting defeat and am using Huggies from now on. DS just will not sleep with anything remotely bulky on and as we co-sleep it means no-one gets any sleep.

Currently selling off my night nappies, will just use MCN during the day.

IMO :

- Baby Love are RUBBISH (I sent mine back, they were dried out and crunchy, and the so called "poopoo pouch" doesn't do a thing!)

- I loooove Dri Bots (Target brand) however I think they've stopped making them :( they last a long time and have never failed me once

- Woolworths Select - great in newborn / infant sized, but a huge jump up in sizing and fit once they are in the bigger sizes. I don't like them anymore

- Comfy Bots (buy these at Coles) are really good! They are a nice fit and don't feel papery. I love them.

- Snugglers - no complaints about these either, and I've often picked them up at IGA for a real bargain!! 44 for about $8.79 one week!

- Nature Babycare (also at Coles, and I think maybe at Woolies) are really absorbent, have a nice outer, and durable, but cost a fair bit more.

- Ecobots were awesome - on par with Huggies for performance, however they seem to have disappeared :( maybe discontinued?

Hope this helps. I went through lots of different brands right at the start when I hadn't started my MCN life lol

Em x

we went and got a pack of aldis, went through the night fine, and contained a morning poosplosion as well, so i'm happy with that, it's a pack of 50, and we use 2-3 a month, soo, that's about 10 months worth, lol... but, he's been in sposies the last 2 nights and slept through... hoping its a coin-ki-dink!
