i've seen alot of posts recently about people using cloth during the day and sposies at night.

when Rylan was in sposies the did nothing but leak and they were huggies newborn
i dont know how many time i got up through the night to change bedsheets cause they leaked everywhere.

so im just wondering if you do use sposies over night, why?

I was using disposables at night time, but now i have some night time nappies so i have started using them. But i only have 2 atm, I have enough nappies for 5 days and i wash nappies every 3 days, then 2 days. (im pritty anal and have a system worked out lol)
So 1 in 5 nights i use a disposable nappy, i haven't had any problems with leaks, but dd doesn't seem to be a heavy wetter.

rarely :)

I have one night specific nappy and 2 others I can boost really well so it's not much of a problem anymore.

When Liam woke up this morning I could hear him peeing in the nappy (he had a boobariffic night) and I thought ohhh noooo....nappy leakage but nope! :D He stayed dry outside

I use one at night, we do not have a cloth nappy that will go the distance at night at this stage.

Nope. WE use our BBBs at night.

I have a whole stack of sposies sitting in the cupboard but DD always wakes earlier in a plastic yucky nappy!

I did use them for ages though. I just could never build up the courage to try a cloth. I thought they would leak!

Nope... I have 4 BBB that I use with boosters. If I need to, I use BBH with extra extra boosting.

Yup. DD gets a horrendous (pmsl-sp?) rash when she wears the BBB's overnight. I thought it was just cause it was cloth & her wee is super acidic but now I think it might have more to do with sitting in anything containing polyester all night (and the crappy fit of the BBB's on DD) cause I popped her in a butt wrap with a woolie cover the other night (I get so annoyed that I have to use icky leaky sposies so I try from time to time...) and she woke up with only a tiny bit of redness (not the usual full blown red weepy looking bot she usually gets) which was gone by the arvo. Just need the rest of my butt wraps that I have ordered and hopefully we can do cloth at night again!

Sometimes - But since Eva usually sleeps for about 10 hours, straight through.. not so much. She's also a heavy wetter. And the mornings.. woah, how those nappies REEK.

I dread waking her to change her because once she's concious, she's up for the day, even if it's only 1am. yergh.

BBB's don't have polyester in them, they are only a bamboo/cotton or hemp/cotton blend. Do you mean the liner you were putting in? Some people don't use liners at all or the alternative would be silk liners.

Oh, and No, we don't use sposies. I've used BB's since M was about 10mths. Started off with the hemp boosted until I got some BBB's a few mths later.

M was in flats from newborn, but at around 6 or so mths we started using sposies over night as I just couldn't boost a flat to last all night.

The fleece liners dont help, the silk liners dont either but plain the BBB's are just nasty on her bottom. Makes me wonder how organic they really are and if there isnt just a little something sneaked in there..... I cant imagine Bamboo itself causing problems....

Same here, Mason gets a yucky rash on his penis when in cloth overnight, only tried bbb though, so maybe there is something better out there for him? Miss D uses them and doesn't get a rash though

Laura didnt get the rash when she was younger either- it is only since she got bigger. And we used to use terry's overnight with nasty pvc pilchers.... I think it might just be a BBB thing. I am not the hugest fan. I love the colours, but they just dont fit Laura well at all & the rash is just bad- a lovely even covering of burnt looking weepy skin :(

have never been game enough to try one overnight, do they really last the distance??

I only use sposie at night when she has a rash, as I absolutely pack on the zinc cream before putting her down, and dont want to do that with the BBB's, but the smell in the morning is digusting, and mostly she will wake up wet, and if she does a poo first thing in the morning it usually leaks, so much prefer the BBB's

we use bbb's here too... when i first stared with cloth (Luke was 4 1/2 mths) it took me a little while to use cloth at night.
The first time i tried him with a bbb and just a pul cover.... the nappy was soaked and it didn;t have anywhere to go.
Now that i've got some boosters and woolies to go over them they work really well. The nappy is wet in the morning but doesn;t have the same soaked feeling of when he had the pul cover on.

I did at first, I didn't feel confident using cloth, I thought we'd get leaks or nappy rash. I think it's a confidence thing... you learn that wool REALLY does work as a cover, and that you really can go all night in cloth with no rash etc etc....

I'm using sposies most nights and BBB with wool cover every 3rd night (I only have one BBB at the moment!) I should have 3 more in the mail then will only be using sposies if the BBB's are wet.

Sam, I am sure you would find a BBB with a bamboo booster might work ;)
Or an AIO with some Bamboo boosting? Might be worth a shot! :)

I use sposies at night. DD doesn't sleep well unless in a sposie and this leaves us no choice. Even during her day naps I tend to use sposies too if I want her to sleep for more than half an hour.

What cloth are you using Rowena? Maybe some fleece liners might help make her feel dry?

I use one of 3, lol

Nappylicious with wool, although I know it doesnt need it, it makes me feel more confident at night, iykwim, as he is a super dooper night wee'er, and would leak even if I put on 10 flats, lmao.. NL are atm, the closest to keeping him dry.
BBB with tots bots pul and then wool (same circumstance)
or I was a trialler (is that a word??) for a new nappy out called sunshine tots, that is a great overnight nappy.. again, with wool

I use wool no matter what he's wearing at nights, mainly cause atm, they are his jammie pants, and also, cause I like the look, generally we have visitors over every night, and I love to show them off, lmao..
so basically atm, we are wearing nappy, pul, wool and then a wool sleeping bag, lol....

I think its so interesting how everyone is so different, I hate bubblebubs (sorry guys, lol), they leak everytime hes worn it, and yet it seems so popular, I am the same with my honeyboy, and most like them, too..

DD can easily get rash from fleece so I don't feel safe using it overnight.

I have been using both....but mainly sposies till I work out something that works for us.....

I have tried GK dreamytime and it KIND of works but only if I stuff it with soooo much stuff that i can't fit anything over the top (bbrrr too cold, will get it out in summer again).

I am also experimenting with BBB ....had a few failed attempts. Have worked out how to line it so he doesnt get wet now....and I have ordered my first pair of SHORTIES (wohooo exciting). But I only have 1 BBB and it takes ages to dry.

I want a WILD CHILD night nappy and maybe a BUBBLEBUBS GNST. .....they are so $$ though so need to do order when DH doesnt notice :D
