I didn't have them in the house for ages and ages, but I cracked it during the recent rain.

I have backups thanks to the lovely coops sending me all hers, but once I'm done with these then I think I'm just going to rely on cheap fitteds. The only time I use them is when the weather is bad - we don't have a dryer, or if I've been slack with the washing.

I just haven't gotten around to giving them to anyone yet :)
They aren't backup sposies... Our stash is big enough for us not to need backups ;)

That, and for some reason dh prefers to just put Evies into a disposable, rather then trying to figure out how to put on a cloth nappy.
Even though I have a stack of AIO's+pockets ready to go..

I think you gave them to me last time I was around and they were too small for A so I passed them on to another mum as backup for cloth.
I still have sposies as backups and night nappies until I get all the BBBs (3 in the post, I hope).

Which surprised me, I thought cloth would cause more rashes than disposables!

During the day I use cloth usually 100%....however DH put one of our back-ups sposies on Caleb yesterday morning. I must admit I didn't complain cos Caleb has had the runs (terrible, stinky, runny, disgusting and hard to scrape off) and I am soooooooooo over it. Its been for a couple of weeks. Sigh. I just needed a break, its sending me  .
Back to cloth today though. And every nappy has had a poo. :( Its so gross.

I think I only have 1 bubblebubs, 1 haute, 2 crappy peapods that wick like nothing else, 1 american aio, an iishfly second, 6 kissaluvs fitteds, 24 toddler prefolds, and 18 infant prefolds with 4 bummi's covers.. *sigh* The bummi's always wick despite my best efforts.. so I have to wash every day and hope theres at least 1 cover to last while they dry - or hope its hot like it has been and Izzy can just run around naked.. lol
oh yeah.. eta : the kissaluvs elastic is pretty shot, so they leak poo out the sides - another downfall with the bummi's *sigh* lol

Alexi's got a shocking rash from diarrhea. Nothing we use is getting rid of it (using sposies so we can use creams).
Sorry, having an attack of the guilts. Ordinarily we don't keep any sposies in the house.

I used sposies for a day 2 weeks ago to see if it would help Phoenix's awful rash (I mean shocking, posted a pic on here in cloth chat, really bad like weeping and bleeding bad  ) It didn't help.
The best combo so far to heal it has been zinc really thick, and then lashings of Cornstarch with Aloe and Vitamin E (Johnsons Not-Talc). Healing well now YAY
I use liners with cloth and strip wash them :)

Thanks Amber,
We've started using a zinc and castor oil cream. I was thinking if that didn't work, I was going to get some steroid cream from the doctor. We've used it before, cleared it up in one day. We were given cortisone cream, but that has done nada!

But Zinc + the Johnsons Cornstarch powder forms a thick paste which is still there at the next nappy change. I think the Aloe and Vitamin E is helping a lot too, it must absorb in. Using that mix since Thursday morning, and his rash has gotten 300% better since then. I was starting to tear my hear out- it was REALLY bad. I'm talking lumps that were weeping :( Now they are smaller, less red, and looking like they could be gone in a few days

Ouch! Poor little man :(
I think I'll try that before going to the doctor's, thanks.
If that doesn't work I'll try the cavicol
